The application of technological development to literary studies opens an interesting and innovating research path:

  • From a theoretical point of view, the Hermeneia research group will focus its research on the application of interactive computer systems that integrate information morphology (text, image and sound) and/with literary works. Moreover, Hermeneia will propose a critical analysis of the consequences of this application.
  • Study the impact, changes and consequences of technology in the past, present and future of literary studies and the humanities.
  • From a practical point of view, Hermeneia will systematize the knowledge on the subject matter by developing a map of literary studies on the Net, and it will offer these resources to the European academic community through its website.

Finally, Hermeneia will offer an updated follow-up of the critical perceptions, reactions and interactions of literary studies and digital technologies.
